Relais Il Canalicchio stands like a little jewel set on the top of a hill in the heart of green Umbria, an oasis of peace nestled in the green Umbrian countryside behind vineyards and olive groves.
The Relais was born from the renovation of the ancient hamlet of Canalicchio, built around the Poggio Castle (dating back to the 10th-11th centuries) that dominates the village with its imposing tower.
Within the village, the historical and rural origins of the place are evident: it still retains castle structure with a huge millstone, the old wine press and charming arches that evoke ‘atmosphere and charm of times past
every detail is taken care of to make your experience unique
The Relais is composed of two areas: the Borgo Resort, with rooms obtained from the renovation of the old village, and the Country Resort – at the gates of the ancient core – with spacious newly built Country Suites.
