Relais Il Canalicchio stands like a little jewel set on the top of a hill in the heart of green Umbria, an oasis of peace nestled in the green Umbrian countryside close to vineyards and olive groves.

The Relais was born from the renovation of theancient hamlet of Canalicchio, built around the Poggio Castle (dating back to the 10th-11th centuries) that dominates the village with its imposing tower.

Within the village, the historical and rural origins of the place are evident: it still retains castle structure with a huge millstone, the old wine press and charming arches that evoke the atmosphere and charm of times past.

Wonderful facility nestled in an evocative architectural-historical-geographical setting. Ideal location for exploring part of Umbria and Tuscany. Well-kept environments, ample space to devote to relaxation and recreational activities (alone or in groups), and the rooms are large functional and welcoming. Food and wine are up to the place. The service is attentive and warm, a note of credit goes to Antonio who manages to give with sympathy a touch of familiarity to the relais. Time to end the stay that you already want to return! A very nice facility in an old village. The room we occupied was very comfortable and with the added bonus of a beautiful terrace with a panoramic view that in appropriate seasons could be used a lot. Beautiful and spacious lobby. There is also a small spa that could be used on request.

Staff of the highest level at 360° , from the moment you arrive and throughout your stay the attention is maximum, and they are very kind. Impeccable cuisine (quality of meat incredible) , extreme cleanliness, enchanting medieval environment ,without depriving yourself of services such as small spa, gym and massage center. Relais nestled in the Umbrian hills, wonderful place with unparalleled views of nature and tranquility. The hotel-style rooms are located in the hamlet, a jewel, it feels like entering an ancient world. The apartments, on the other hand, are located a few meters from the main building and offer everything you need for a relaxing stay. The ability to use the apartment's kitchen is unfortunately for a fee. Present are two swimming pools, spa, restaurant, corner bar for an aperitif, breakfast buffet full of sweet and savory options. The restaurant offers traditional dishes at excellent prices, with a view of the hills that thrills at sunset. The restaurant's terrace is also used for breakfasts, making the stay relaxing from the morning. The service is very friendly and formal. We had a very good time, we will be back.
