Relais Il Canalicchio stands like a little jewel set on the top of a hill in the heart of green Umbria, an oasis of peace nestled in the green Umbrian countryside close to vineyards and olive groves.
The Relais was born from the renovation of theancient hamlet of Canalicchio, built around the Poggio Castle (dating back to the 10th-11th centuries) that dominates the village with its imposing tower.
Within the village, the historical and rural origins of the place are evident: it still retains castle structure with a huge millstone, the old wine press and charming arches that evoke the atmosphere and charm of times past.
Borgo Resort & Country Resort
The Relais is composed of two areas: the Borgo Resort, with rooms obtained from the renovation of the old village, and the Country Resort – at the gates of the old core – with spacious newly built Country Suites.
